  • Evektor expands production capacities for UL/LSA airplanes

    Published: Friday, May 12, 2006
It has been one full year since the Evektor SportStar became the very first S-LSA airplane to be type approved by the FAA. In our first year, the success of the SportStar in the US market has confirmed Evektor's position as a major player in the emerging LSA market.

The growing demand for the SportStar from North America as well as for the teamEurostar from worldwide markets has forced Evektor early this year to expand its production capacities to produce over 150 airplanes annually.

The April Sunīn Fun Airshow in Florida was very successful for Evektor. During the airshow many orders for the SportStar were accepted and deliveries of others have been negotiated. Presently Evektor is evaluating the possibility of setting up a North American assembly point for the SportStar, to be able to offer quicker deliveries of aircraft and spare parts to the rapidly expanding customer base.
