    Lockheed-Martin F-22A Raptor

New addition to the USA section - the Lockheed-Martin F-22A Raptor ! The outrageous, incomparible Raptor blasts into the virtual skies at AlphaSim. The model quality is exceptional, all the subtle cruves and bumps of this technological marvel have been reproduced, even down to the thrust-vectoring nozzles and extendable weapons trapeze systems, complete with a full array of air-to-air missiles. The textures cover the gray camo variant (with 3 tailcode options) and a beautiful (if ficticious) 'Thunderbirds' scheme. The authenticity continues into the cockpit area, where the F-22's office has been replicated, along with a full 'glass cockpit' array of switchable MFD's, with custom screens for engines, fuel management, weapons systems, moving map, HUD and more. AlphaSim has even broken new ground with a great new feature - a shootable cannon ! Just a simple squeeze of the trigger when airborne provides a tracer fire effect with small explosions on impact with the ground or sea. The flight dynamics were carefully researched and provide a supremely agile and powerful ride - 'supercruise' is possible too. The flight model was tested thoroughly by an ex-F-8 pilot and given the thumbs-up for fast jet authenticity. A high-quality soundset rounds out this amazing package.
